Lion Cubs Leader: Weir Thurman

The Lion Cubs feeding ministry provides one hot meal and two sack lunches for children who otherwise would go hungry over the weekend. Eligibility is restricted to those receiving free meals through the National School Lunch Program.

The ministry currently serves approximately 85 children a week. Meals are prepared and delivered by volunteers from the parish.

The Lion Cubs coordinates the parish’s participation in the Hendricks County Kids Summer Lunch Bunch. Last year parish volunteers distributed 615 nutritious lunches and free books over four days to children in the community through this program. |
